Platinum Divaz Dance Company

Chiniqua Jackson

Director & Head Coach

My journey in dance began at a young age through cheerleading, step, and performing with groups like the Star Lights Step Team and the Girls Club. Throughout my school years, I remained active in the performing arts, joining the “Sister to Sister” step team in high school and even founding an adult dance group during my senior year.

In 2009, a close friend and I took on the opportunity to coach a Little League cheer squad. What started as a four-year coaching experience with two different youth organizations evolved into founding our own program in 2013. We began with a youth step team for both boys and girls and eventually transitioned into hip hop and majorette-style dance by 2016. Over the years, we’ve connected with hundreds of youth, sharing our passion for performance, discipline, and creativity.

In recent years, our focus has shifted to mentoring young girls, traveling, competing, and building confidence through dance. Coaching has truly changed my life—it has allowed me to uplift and guide so many young people while continuing to live out my own passion for dance and step. Sixteen years in, I never imagined I’d come this far, but I’m grateful for every moment and every child I’ve had the honor to impact.
