Platinum Divaz Dance Company

Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders Through Dance, Mentorship & Mental Health Support

Young Black girls often face disproportionate challenges—whether it’s limited access to mental health resources, underrepresentation in leadership roles, or a lack of safe, empowering spaces. Platinum Divaz Dance Company was founded to change that narrative. Through its programs, girls build confidence, discipline, self-worth, and a strong sense of sisterhood.

From learning majorette and hip hop routines to participating in community service and out-of-state competitions, every experience is designed to nurture well-rounded, emotionally healthy leaders.

If you believe in inclusion, education, mental health, and youth empowerment, we invite you to join our mission.

Platinum Divaz Dance Co., a nonprofit youth organization dedicated to empowering young people through dance, mentorship, leadership training, and academic support.

Since 2013, we’ve proudly served youth ages 3 to 21 from all walks of life — including children with disabilities, youth in foster care, those from struggling family environments, and even young people battling mental health challenges such as self-harm. Through our programs, we help them build confidence, discipline, and self-expression in a safe, supportive space. Our organization is grounded in the values of love, respect, dignity, and sisterhood, and we are committed to making a lasting impact on both our youth and the community as a whole.

We serve 30 to 50 girls each year through our vibrant programs that promote inclusion, self-love, and confidence. In a world where young Black girls are often overlooked, we give them the spotlight—not just on stage, but in life.

More Than Dance—A Lifeline for Young Girls

Our programs are rooted in the belief that every girl deserves to be seen, heard, and supported. Alongside dance training in majorette, hip hop, and other styles, Platinum Divaz offers:

  • A Mental Health Program: Led by caring professionals and community partners, this initiative provides emotional support and open conversations around mental wellness. It’s a safe space where girls can express themselves and heal.

  • Leadership Development: In collaboration with organizations like Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., our girls participate in activities that teach responsibility, self-discipline, and public speaking. We’re building future entrepreneurs, activists, and changemakers.

  • Tutoring & Academic Support: Education is a priority. We offer tutoring services to help our Divaz excel in the classroom while they shine in rehearsals and on stage.

  • Community Service Projects: We don’t just dance for ourselves—we dance for our community. Our girls are required to participate in volunteer efforts, helping them become compassionate citizens with a heart for service.

Why Your Support Matters

As a nonprofit, we depend on the generous support of individuals and businesses like yours to continue providing meaningful, accessible programming. We are currently seeking sponsors and donors to support the following needs:

  • Repairs and updates to our facility
  • Dancewear and program materials
  • Travel expenses for competitions and performances
  • Healthy snacks and meals for our students
  • Scholarships for families in need

By supporting Platinum Divaz, you’re not just funding a dance team—you’re investing in future leaders, empowering young Black girls to believe in themselves and their worth.
